Should a solo professional buy Personal or Core?
Personal is for one individual who wants a private space. Core is an organisation product: even a one-person firm gets shared capacity, e-sign, policy controls and searchable audit.
Is there a free plan?
No permanent free tier. Public checkout and trial creation are currently closed; contact us to discuss the right route.
What counts as a billable seat on organisation plans?
An enabled internal user who can sign in to a Casewelt organisation counts as a billable seat. An administrator is still one internal user; admin access is not purchased separately. Personal does not use seat language.
Do external recipients or signers consume seats?
No. External file recipients and e-sign parties do not consume internal seats. E-signature envelope allowances still apply on organisation plans.
Is there a user minimum for Core or Business?
Core and Business bill from one internal user. Storage and e-sign capacity scale with each paid user from that baseline.
Are prices billed monthly?
Both Monthly and Yearly are available. Yearly saves two months (pay for 10, get 12): Personal £129/year, Core £249/user/year, Business £399/user/year. Monthly list prices are £12.90, £24.90 and £39.90. Prices exclude VAT.
Does organisation storage belong to individual users?
No. The per-user figure calculates the organisation’s shared storage allowance. For example, 10 Core users provide 2 TB of shared storage. Personal’s 200 GB is that individual’s space.
If we set a seven-year retention rule, does Casewelt keep the file for free after we cancel?
No. A retention period such as “contract term + 7 years” is your organisation’s obligation for that record. While you have an active Casewelt subscription, the product enforces the rule you defined, including refusing early deletion. Ending the subscription does not transfer the remaining years onto Casewelt as a free-hosting commitment; you remain responsible for records you still need to keep.
What happens when an organisation adds users?
Your billable quantity and plan capacity increase according to the plan rules. Your plan level does not change automatically when your team grows.
Can a small organisation use Business?
Yes. Plan level is based on the controls your organisation needs, not its size. A one-person team can use Business if it needs Business-level governance or integration features.
Does online document editing include Microsoft Office?
No. Casewelt lets you create and edit documents, spreadsheets and presentations in the browser. That is not a Microsoft Office licence and does not include Microsoft desktop applications.
What is included with Enterprise?
Enterprise contracts are tailored for organisations that need higher-assurance identity, integration, deployment, capacity or support requirements. Available controls and service terms are confirmed during the technical and commercial review.
